6 important lessons to learn from movie "English Vinglish"
English
Vinglish was an awesome movie, only thing I regret is I could not watch it in
theater. I got to watch it on television and it was a pleasant movie
to watch.
This
was one of the movies that leaves you with thoughts and teaches you important
lessons of life. I got to learn 6 lessons from the movie:
1.
There
is no age to learn something: Sridevi (as Shashi in the movie) was fighting her
everyday at New York, the incidence at coffee shop, shook her. So as soon as
she reads the ad to learn English, she was determined enough to learn the
language she was mocked for from her husband and daughter.
4.
Every
day teaches you something new: It was incidence at coffee shop that made Shashi
determined enough to learn the language. It could have worked the other way
round too but Shashi didn’t break instead decided to fight back.
5.
Don't
judge anyone: While at the class, everyone judged/mocked the teacher-
David, it was Shashi who shush others not to mock him for being different.
6.
Respect
your partner: Shashi’s husband not only made fun of her being less
educated but at one point also says that she was born to make laddoos. Respect
from partner is very important and if you don’t get it, it is harsh. At one
incidence when she comes to know about feelings of the French guy Laurent for
her and her niece asks her whether Shashi feels the same for him, she replies,
she doesn’t needs love, she needs respect.
For
those who haven’t watch the movie, please watch this amazing movie
